ONE // I'm finally back in America!! I took a 9 hour flight from Zurich to JFK and then a 5 hour flight from JFK to Salt Lake City. We got into SLC around midnight on December 30th and didn't get up to Park City and to bed until around 2 am. I spent the next few days in Park City laying low recovering from jet lag and visiting family.
TWO // I've been trying to hit all my favorite restaurants while I'm home and I only missed on that was on my list. I made sure not to miss the kale salads at True Food Kitchen and Flower Child, two of my favorite kale salads. To be honest I was a little offended from the service at restaurants, and shocked that I was offended haha. In Europe the wait staff ignore you after they take your order, but here they are kind and check up on you every once in a while. I find it sunny what it bothered me to be ignored in Italy but then I was bothered by the wait staff being kind back here in the states.
THREE // While I never drove while I was in Italy, we took a lot of cars and the driving there is so chaotic and fast, so now that I'm home and driving it feels so slow. I think its a combination of the larger roads and calmer drivers, but its not the worst change in pace.
FOUR // This week I tried to get back into working out after taking four months off and eating a little too much pasta. Wednesday I went to a Party on A Bike class at the Madison (my favorite spin class) and I was surprised I was able to make it though the entire class haha. Then on Friday, some of my high school friends and I hiked South Mountain and then treated our selves to Açai bowls. I loveIf your in the East Valley Nekter Juice Bar is my favorite place to get an Açai bowl.
FIVE // I started to travel back to school yesterday (Saturday) and am still sitting in an airport today (Sunday) hoping that the next flight I get on will make it to Raleigh. I was suppose to fly from Phoenix to Denver to Raleigh, but due to the snow storm in the south my Denver to Raleigh Flight was canceled. So I tried to be proactive and booked myself on a new flight from Denver to Dallas and then another on from Dallas to Raleigh. My Denver to Dallas flight got canceled/changed 3 times and I finally made it to Dallas Saturday night. Spent the night at a hotel in the airport. I was suppose to be on a flight out of Dallas at 7 am, but it was canceled, I was then put on a flight leaving at 12:30 and then again got put on a different flight leaving at 12:45. I'm currently sitting at the gate in Dallas for the 12:45 flight praying that nothing more goes wrong and that I will make it to High Point by tonight. (Learn from my mistake and never fly American Airlines)
