Happy Monday! A few weeks ago my friends and I went into Milan for the day and I'm finally sharing the pictures!
We started the day early and took the train into the center of the city and then the metro to the Duomo Milano. The view when you come up from the metro is breath taking. The first thing that you see is the beautiful Milan Cathedral, and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The Duomo took 6 centuries to finish and is the largest cathedral in Italy.
Before going into the Duomo we had to wait a bit in line but I didn't mind it because we got to get a closer look the detail of gothic architecture and its so gorgeous!
The interior of the cathedral was just as beautiful as the exterior. There were huge stained glass windows throughout that had so much detailing in every pane.
We got tickets so that we could go on to the terrace of the Duomo, and the views were amazing, You could see the entire city and even to the Alps.
After the terrace we walked through the Galleria, which is the worlds oldest mall in the world that is home to 2 Prada stores!
After the Galleria we grabbed some pizza for lunch at a little hole in the wall restaurant that seemed to be a hot spot for local businessmen. After lunch we headed over to the Sforza Castle, which was built in the 15th century.
Behind the castle is a beautiful park and on the other side of the park is the Arco Della Pace.
After a full day of sight seeing we had to end the day with gelato!
