Quick weekend in New York City

This past weekend I got to go up to New York City and visit one of my best friends from high school, Hannah. The weekend was short but we packed a lot in!

Saturday morning we grabbed bagels at Tompkins Square Bagels and it was delicious! It was the cutest little bakery with a line out the door! It was totally worth the wait!

After Breakfast we headed uptown and walked through Central Park. I love walking through The Mall and seeing Bethesda's Fountain and the Boat House. Then we headed over to the Met to see the Manus x Machina exhibit.

The exhibit was to die for!!!! The dress above... my heart stopped when I saw it.

There were so many ensembles that I was falling in love with, many of the pieces were Chanel and Dior, two of my favorite designers, I was in heaven! If you are in Manhattan before August 14th you have to go!

After the Met we headed over to Bergdorf Goodmans for lunch, they have the cutest little parlor on the 8th floor for the restaurant. Then we shopped on 5th and ended up at Ralph Lauren. They have their own coffee shop on the 3rd floor and its adorable!

Ralph's Coffee might be my new favorite place in the city! Its so beautiful, the coffee is delicious (they even have almond milk!), and its so quite. Its the perfect little escape from the hustle and bustle!

For dinner we headed back downtown and went to JG Melon for burgers and people watching. Macdougl and Bleeker is the perfect corner for people watching!

The next morning we went to Hannah's favorite juice shop in the city, Joe and the Juice. It's very different than most juicers, in the best way possible, very european cool. After finishing our juices we headed out to shop in SoHo.

Out first stop in SoHo was What Goes Around Comes Around, its the most beautiful little vintage shop. They had soooo much vintage Chanel and Hermes. Then stopped at Balthazar's little bakery and coffee shop, I got another almond milk latte and the best almond croissant I have ever had!

We went to by Chloe. for lunch, its the cutest little vegan restaurant from L.A. it was so cute inside and I felt like I had been taken to L.A. while I was there. I got the Kale Cesar and a chocolate chip cookie. The recipe is here and totally worth recreating, it was better than any other vegan treat I've ever had!

After lunch I had to head to the airport and back to North Carolina. No time is never enough with Hannah or in the city. Next weekend I'm headed to Park City for the 4th of July! Are you headed anywhere fun for the holiday weekend?

xx, Samantha
