With wifi being hard to come by and limited here in Italy, I thought I would start a small weekly post about 5 things from my week, whether they are things that happened, things on my wish list, or an article I loved.
ONE // I need to live in Paris before I die. Every street we walked down last week, I just got this overwhelming feeling of this is where I belong. The fashion, the food, the art, the language, the architecture, the river. I fell in love with everything, and the fall leaves just made everything better,
TWO // This coat. I saw it when I was in Florence and was immediately drawn to it, but as I stood there in the shop sweating, I decided I really didn’t need a winter coat at the moment. Then the next weekend, I saw it again in Verona, this time standing in front of the coat shivering cold, I decided to try it on and was sold.
THREE // I have successfully learned how to cook myself a proper meal. Before coming abroad I called microwaved quoina and kale or a smoothie a meal I could make myself haha. Now thanks to my dear Swedish friend Louise, I can make a delicious mushroom cream sauce and have even been brave enough to make chicken to go with it. This weekend she is going to try to teach me how to make Swedish meatballs and a mushroom risotto!
FOUR // This bag. I got it before coming abroad, and it is hands down the best purchase I have ever made. I love Longchamp bags, but my favorite feature of the travel bag is that it grows. So as I shop on my weekend adventures, I don't have to worry about squeezing it into my bag. It is also the perfect size. I never feel like it's too big or too small. This might be a little odd, but I also love that it doesn't have wheels. I usually carry it by the small top handles by my side or in the crook of my arm.
FIVE // parisinfourmonths I found this instagram account a few weeks ago and got so much inspiration for my Paris trip from it. It's run by Carin Olsson, a Swedish photographer who planned to live in Paris for only 4 months, but fell so in love with the city. Years later she still hasn't left. Her pictures are so beautiful and swoon worthy.
