Hi loves! Today for my final Back to School series post I'm going to share with you what clothes I think you should or shouldn't pack for school. Me being the hoarder and shopaholic that I am, I brought almost everything from my closet with me to school, which was wayyy to much! Heres what I really should have packed.
Basics // Basics will make your life so much easier!! I quickly learned that my favorite things to wear from my wardrobe are plain shirts. This was so shocking to me because in high school I would have thought that it was so boring but now its my daily uniform. I love these v-necks for warmer days with fun shorts or skirts and these long sleeves with pants and boots with vests or scarfs. I also love a smiple black or white short to go with my fun tops!
Dresses // I love dresses!! I've worn one almost everyday this summer. They are so fun and easy with the bonus that they make you look so put together! I love this simple shift dress I have it in black and pink and I'm constantly wearing them!
Chambray // This fabric get it's own category because its so amazing! I have 3 or 4 different chambray shirts and I wear them year round! The are so fun with the sleeves rolled up paired shorts or layered under a sweater and/or vest when it gets cooler outside. They are so classic and timeless, its worth it to get one if you don't already have one!
Pants // It's a good idea to pack a great pair(or more) of skinny jeans. I would wear jeans or leggings with boots just about every day in the fall and winter. I love Lululemon leggings and AG denim.
Shoes // The perfect sandals for school are Jacks! Most girls have them on the east coast and I quickly felt out of place with out a pair, so I quickly bought a pair in navy! I love a good flat in the fall! Tory Burch make the best flats in my opinion, they go with everything and are so comfy! Another fall must is riding boots!! I love the Sam Edelman boots I linked up top but some other brands I love for boots are(again) Tory Burch, and Frye.
Rain Gear // Coming from AZ I'm not normally prepared for rain but in NC it probably rains once a week! In the beginning of the school year I would carry an umbrella in the rain and wear my Hunter boots which I love, but I quickly learned that rain coats are the way to go because my umbrella and the wind were not good friends.
Winter gear // Depending on the climate you are going to school in this might not be necessary, but I go to school in North Carolina and for some reason I didn't think it would get very cold and goodness was I wrong. It got so cold that it snowed!! I called my mom frantic as I watched the snow come down and she ordered me this coat and I loved it! I also love big scarfs to wrap around my face and neck as I walk to class. I've never been much of a gloves person but these would be so cute if you are!
Little Things // Lots and lots of socks and underwear!! I know for most everyone I know they don't do laundry until they run out of socks or underwear, so its a good idea to stock up! Bring tights! I love throwing a pair of tights on with a skirt when it starts to get chilly, they also can dress up a look for a nice dinner or presentation.
Don't Pack // Don't bring to many T-shirts because they are handed out like crazy the first week of school. I've purchased maybe one or two school shirts but some how I have a full drawer full now!
